I love spring

Spokane needs to hurry up and start blooming. The city's plants are slowly coming back to life, and the weather has been BEAUTIFUL the last few days. Unfortunately i've been either sick or working the last week, so i haven't been able to get out and take some new photos like i've wanted to, but all this wonderful computer time has me playing with photoshop. so, i've been manipulating a few of my shots from last summer. Enjoy!

people came to town

Heather and Michelle drove out from Seattle to Spokane to attend Liz's wedding, and Bryce happened to be in town from Portland as well.
Sometimes its a little crazy to have people from different areas of your life in the same room.

More ugly Spokane

On my way home I couldn't help but stop in the West Central neighborhood. This is Washington State's poorest neighborhood. I would have toured a bit more of the area, but being a lonely girl in a dangerous hood with an expensive camera could quickly spell trouble. Maybe I'll go back with a body guard soon.

Ugly Ugly Spokane

All the dirty snow is melting, and I got a chance to help a friend look for a place to live in Browne's Addition- one of spokane's oldest neighborhoods. The place is full of renovated and also decaying mansions. As winter winds down, I find that this city is exceptionally ugly, and yet, I still like to look at it. odd.
